TITLE: Hurt
DESCRIPTION: "Hurt" or "Hurt Heart" is an anatomically correct depiction of a human heart as an outdoor winter still life. Gaps in the cold brick reveal a Gold core. Through Fall's leaves and Winters snow, sprout the crocuses heralding springs approach. Bittersweet, this piece represents a heart left cold and defensive against yet another emotional assault. Still there is hope for thaw, a crumbling of walls, and rebirth.
