TITLE: Orchid
DESCRIPTION: I've always considered the orchid to be one of God's most beautiful and unusual flowers. I've also regarded the "Rocket-Bird" body Thunderbirds to be one of Detroit's most beautiful and unusual cars. So you see it just seemed natural to create a Paphiopedilum Orchid entirely from a 1962 Thunderbird. With the exception of solid steel rod, i.e. the air roots (Thanks superman), and steel tubing for stems and spines. This flower is all bird.
This sculpture dismantles into 5 major pieces, which will fit through a 30" door. It also has a rechargeable battery powered taillight with a remote switch.
