TITLE: Whitewashing Kathmandu
DESCRIPTION: Two cultures blend in Kathmandu. The Buddhist, small, strong, and hearty, are natives of the mountains in Nepal. The Hindus, taller and lankier, came from the plains of India. The man on the table represents the Buddhist. The man down on the mat represents the Flatland Hindu. Note the metamorphosis of the drop cloth into the Himalayas. From the artist travels to Nepal.
